Gärtnern im November: Was du jetzt noch pflanzen kannst - NIKIN EU

Gardening in November: What else you can plant now

In November, nature goes to rest. Plant something now? Where winter is just around the corner? In fact, November is the perfect month for growing lots of trees, flowering plants and vegetables, as long as you know what to look for.

Why November is suitable for planting

The garden is actually prepared for winter from October onwards. Many plants have already been pruned, the clippings have been removed, and the leaves that have not yet fallen will do so very soon. Gardeners and gardeners could take a well-deserved winter break. But you shouldn't miss the opportunity to introduce new plants now. Since many trees, shrubs and other plants are already surviving on the back burner, it is easier for them to survive transplanting. The following groups of plants are particularly suitable.

Fruit trees

Fruit trees and shrubs that are purchased with bare roots are often cheaper than comparable specimens in pots. And it is precisely these trees that can be planted in November before the first frost sets in! To do this, the rootstock must be warmed in a lukewarm water bath and removed from any remaining dirt. In the meantime, the planting hole is prepared and enriched with a little humus or compost. Insert carefully, straighten, scoop and tap into place. Slender, tall trees enjoy support during the first few years of life.

Matching NIKIN products

Since it's getting a little cooler in November, we at NIKIN have the right clothes and accessories for you to keep the whole family nice and warm.

We also have TreePlanting Kits that you and your family can plant all year round. You can choose from the bee tree, the wild pear tree and the Nordmann fir. Check out the tutorial here!

Robust, autumnal vegetables can still be sown in October and November. Since many of them grow quickly, hopes for a harvest are quite realistic. In addition to carrots and parsnips, cabbage and root parsley are particularly suitable.

Flower bulbs and ornamental shrubs

The foundations for the coming blooms are also laid in November, because many flower bulbs should be planted right now. The bulbs for roses, tulips, crocuses and daffodils have to be in the ground now because they need a period of frost in order to sprout even more beautifully in spring. Ornamental shrubs can also be planted before the first frost, usually before mid-November.

Gardening together in November

As the golden summer nights give way to autumnal, foggy evenings, the opportunities for extensive outdoor activities become fewer. It's all the better to enjoy gardening together and implement garden design ideas with the family. Planning and purchasing the plants is a lot of fun - especially since you can admire the results just three months later. Working in the garden is a form of sustainable and meaningful leisure activity. Visit the garden center one last time and dedicate yourself to this activity that is close to nature and enriching for people and the garden!
